We just wanted to let our reader know how this last week start, because it was a little unusual for us!
Tash and I spent “7 hours” in hospital while doctors tried to diagnose a suspected appendix. I took a couple of snaps with my phone, sorry about the quality (I need an IPhone ;-)). In the photo above Tash is feeling poorly because they have just taken blood and this is the first time she can remember that some one has deliberately stuck a needle into her.. SHE IS NOT HAPPY!
Tash was very happy to be able to sit up instead of lying down. That was getting VERY boring.. PLUS, maybe Mum will let me play games on her lap-top now!
NOTE TO MUM FROM TASH: You really need to get some better games on your lap-top! ‘Mine sweeper’ gets boring very quickly! lol
After a blood test that didn’t show any thing, it was time to get an ultra sound! Problem was when we got back our room was occupied! Emergency is a very busy place! So Tash became a “Corridor Kid”!
The corridor became our home for a couple of hours, while we waited the result of the ultra sound! “Mum, this corridor is very boring, can we go home now?” - I heard this every five minutes!
Finally we got the news that Tash had the all clear as far as an Appendix problem, infact she had infection/virus in her abdominal lymph nodes.. What ever that means :-) And she should get better in time! She was very happy when the drip came out and we could leave the hospital corridor bound for home, only some 7 odd hours later!
On a positive note she did get to do a little reading while in hospital - although I didn’t have the camera, so I didn’t record it
Tash has 15 days to raise another $350 for the MS Readathon.. If you can support her - please do by clicking here, or on any of her photos above, or on bosko on the right hand side
Look out for more stories from Tash..

Dear Tash,
Sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well!
You are very brave to spend a whole day in the hospital and to get a needle. I’m a grownup and I don’t like needles, either!
Glad that you’re on the mend now, and hopefully can get back to your reading soon!
Smiles from Canada,
Barb
